Built in 1870 atop a bluff overlooking Lake Ontario and Sodus Bay. This beautifully preserved limestone lighthouse now houses museum exhibitions that focus on local and maritime history. Stroll the magnificently manicured gardens along Lake Ontario or climb the 52-step spiral stair case to the top of the lighthouse tower for breathtaking panoramic views, including Chimney Bluffs, and up close view of a third and a half order Fresnel lens, one of only 12 left in the world.
